There may be periods where sectors we do not invest in are going through a growth cycle. During these periods, investments we recommend may fall in value, stay broadly the same, or grow by less than those sectors.

Market best practice & the UK financial services regulator require us to use benchmarks to compare investment results. We believe this can sometimes be misleading if the benchmark includes sectors that an investor does not want to support or profit from.

Our investment approach is designed to support the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient & positive-impact economy.

This means we may favour areas such as transition-focused economic infrastructure, climate & environmental solutions, social impact, climate-conscious innovation, responsible stewardship, and alternative, less widely adopted assets. At the same time, we avoid sectors or activities that conflict with our values-led approach, including fossil fuels (oil & gas) and defence (arms & weaponry manufacture).

This approach will not suit everyone. We look for investors who share our mindset. Our investors are comfortable aligning their money with environmental & social objectives, even where this leads to a different investment journey from mainstream approaches.
